My Practice Methods with ICA Training
Practicing the same drill usually means placing the balls in the exact same position consistently, so you can practice properly.
The best way to do this is to using hole punch reinforcement labels as the centre can hold the ball still, whilst this is an easy method to set up simple practice drills, it takes a lot of time if you have a complicated layout, as you measure out where to place the labels.
As you can imagine, this got boring fast, so I typically left certain stroke drill layouts on the table permanently, which became problematic when playing, instead of practicing, or if I wanted to set up a complicated layout then I would have to remove those labels.
During the lockdown of COVID-19, I stumbled upon a system designed by Illuminated Cueing Arts, whereby table layouts and practice drills are projected onto the table via a projector. I decided this was a must have for me.
This has made my life a lot easier, as I can swtich layouts, drills, even create random layouts instantly.
This page will be dedicated to how I use the system and how it works.
I'm hoping to write a new article each week, so check back every now and then, or join my mailing list for a monthly update for new articles.
Oh, if you are inspired by my articles and you decide to purchase the ICA system, mention you found out about the system form Sarah in the UK, as it's good for them to know where new business comes from.
